Rhona Mitra Sightings

Rhona Mitra sightings aren't posted often enough on the internet but some lucky fans have given their impressions of meeting her.

Here's one from the imdb board, 20 October 2006:

Hey guys, I live in London, England, and I met Rhona Mitra about eighteen months ago when she was out shopping with friend in Oxford Street! Let me tell you, she looks hot on TV, but in real life she is the hottest women I've ever seen! Also, she was kind enough to stop for autographs and pictures - a real down-to-earth, girl-next-door quality about her!

from the defamer, Aug 31, 2004: I spotted Rhona Mitra, late of 'The Practice' and slated to appear in 'Boston Legal', at Venice coffeehouse Abbott’s Habit on Tuesday evening. She is lovely, but much shorter looking in person than she is on television, where she seems like an Amazon to me. She kept looking around the coffeehouse, as though she was concerned about being recognized, but maybe she was just creeped out by the middle-aged dude near the door who was totally leering at her. Her hair is fab.

August 09, 2006 West Coast Dispatch, From In Style's Ali Forman in Los Angeles:

Every year, I look forward to the birthday party that my friend Holly Wiersma throws for her husband, Cassian Elwes. (Holly is a film producer whose upcoming titles include Bobby, Bug, Factory Girl and Come Early Morning; Cassian is co-head of William Morris Independent.)

This year the party was a Mexican-themed fiesta, held at the couple's Mediterranean-style home in the hills off Mulholland Drive. As we arrived (to the sounds of a three-piece mariachi band), valets offered us sombreros, and I gamely put mine on. But when I realized I couldn't see anything—and nearly fell down the stairs—I decided it was better not to be a party hazard.

It turns out, however, that the real party hazards were my Michael Kors heels. At the bottom of the stairs, I was so excited to see Tom Arnold (we worked together on the film Happy Endings, which I co-produced) that I gave him a big hug without realizing I was stepping on the toes of actor Cary Elwes, the birthday boy's brother. (Fortunately, he didn't suffer any major injuries.) As the margaritas flowed, some of the guests feasted on fajitas and tamales while others hung out on Mexican blankets and pillows scattered around the back yard.

When Sharon Stone (who looked stunning even in jeans and pulled-back hair), Faye Dunaway, Danny Huston, Lisa Edelstein (of House) and others gathered around to sing “Happy Birthday,” I was delighted to see once again a berry cake from Sweet Lady Jane. It’s Cassian’s favorite (and mine).

After most the guests had headed home, Rhona Mitra and I — both huge dog lovers — played with the hosts’ new puppy, Prince Moses, a Chinese Crested Hairless that looked like a character in a Dr. Seuss book and smelled of suntan lotion. “We have to put sunscreen on him,” explained Holly. “He’s hairless! Otherwise he’d get a sunburn!” Only in L.A.
